FRP is processed through hot pressing (SMC) for the manufacturing of our cabinets and boxes. Our raw material grants our products a highly regarded recognition in the market for their reliability and quality.

ADVANTAGES OF FRP

OXIDATION. STOP CORROSION

In aggressive environments such as tropical climates, high humidity, or salt fog, the lifespan of a metal cabinet is very short, whereas a polyester one lasts up to 30 years without altering its mechanical properties.

EASY MACHINING

Machining a metal cabinet is very complex and dangerous as it destroys the metal's corrosion protection. In contrast, machining polyester is quick, easy, and safe.

REDUCED RISK OF ACCIDENTS

With a metal cabinet, there is a risk of electric shock. However, polyester is completely insulating, withstanding up to 1500 Vdc, while properly protected metal only withstands 1000 Vdc, similar to plastic cabinets.

SELF-EXTINGUISHING

FRP is fire-resistant and passes the incandescent wire test at 960°C according to IEC 60695-2-10. In addition to not propagating flames, it is self-extinguishing, which plastic cabinets do not achieve.

ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY

Our cabinets do not interfere electromagnetically with other equipment and function correctly amidst disturbances caused by other systems within the work environment.

UV PROTECTION + LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

Polyester is an excellent electrical insulator. Thanks to its UV resistance and the ability of polyester to dissipate heat on all sides, our cabinets are suitable for use in solar and mining installations. Unlike metal cabinets, which, when exposed to the sun, heat up so much that they render the electrical equipment they protect unusable.

HALOGEN-FREE

Our raw material is manufactured without halogen components in its formulations. As a result, it offers high resistance to fire propagation and eliminates the release of toxic or harmful gases, as well as the formation of opaque smoke produced by the combustion of plastic enclosures.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Thanks to the fiberglass, FRP has excellent mechanical properties: impact and torsion resistance. At service temperatures, the product's surface does not deteriorate and there is barely an insignificant loss of mechanical properties. The polymerization during molding allows it to neither melt nor drip at high temperatures, providing very good performance against chemical agents.

9.

RESISTANCE TO SALT WATER, PERFECT FOR COASTAL AREAS

Polyester has good chemical resistance against common agents such as salt water, oil, or gases like ozone. These chemical agents do not damage the surfaces nor cause significant mechanical losses.

10.

LIGHTWEIGHT

A polyester cabinet compared to a metal one of the same size weighs half as much. This feature facilitates installation, reduces workplace accidents, and saves on transportation costs.

11.

OUR BOXES AND CABINETS HAVE MORE THAN ONE LIFE

Both our raw materials and finished products are easily recyclable, allowing them a second life. Our waste is sent to specialized companies to "grind" the fiberglass, producing a powder that is very useful as a raw material for cement companies.
