6.- UV PROTECTION + LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY
The polyester achieves during its molding at temperatures above 140° a hardness that gives it a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 0.3 w / m.K. therefore we can guarantee that our polyester is an excellent electrical insulator. Even it is optimal in extreme climates thanks to its UV resistance to the sun, the use in solar and mining facilities is common nowadays, since the metal enclosures in the sun begins to heat up extremely, making electrical equipment they are trying to protect unusable. Polyester, on the other hand, dissipates the received heat on all its sides..
9.- RESISTANCE TO SALIN WATER, PERFECT FOR COASTAL ZONES
Polyester has a good chemical resistance against the most common agents (water, salt water, oil, gases such as ozone, in usual concentrations). These chemical agents, at normal temperatures, have never caused surface damage or significant mechanical loss. However, for the evaluation of their performance under very special conditions, SMC parts must be subjected to specific tests by third-party laboratories.
