1.- OXIDATION: CORROSION STOP.

2.- EASY TO CUSTOMISE.

3.- REDUCED RISK OF ACCIDENTS.

With a metal cabinet there is a risk of electric shock, however, the polyester is totally insulating, the polyester holds up to 1500V DC while the metal correctly protected only 1000V DC, just like the plastic cabinets.

4.- SELF-EXTINGUISHING

GRP is fire resistant, it passes the 960º incandescent wire test according to the IEC 60695-2-10 and the material does not spread the flame and is self-extinguishing while that is not fulfilled in the metal or plastic due to their components. The physical-chemical mechanism used to achieve good flame resistance is based on the presence of Al(OH)3 in the formulation, which releases water in the form of steam, which extinguishes the flame when the material is burned. This steam is not toxic or corrosive.

6.- UV PROTECTION + LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

The polyester achieves during its molding at temperatures above 140° a hardness that gives it a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 0.3 w / m.K. therefore we can guarantee that our polyester is an excellent electrical insulator. Even it is optimal in extreme climates thanks to its UV resistance to the sun, the use in solar and mining facilities is common nowadays, since the metal enclosures in the sun begins to heat up extremely, making electrical equipment they are trying to protect unusable. 7.- HALOGEN FREE

Our raw material is manufactured with the absence of halogen components in its formulations. Thanks to this, it offers a high resistance to the propagation of fire and eliminates the release of toxic or noxious gases and the formation of opaque fumes such as those produced in the combustion of plastic enclosures.

8.- RESISTANCE TO CHEMICAL AGENTS

The SMC due to fiberglass has excellent mechanical properties: impact, resistance to torsion and is capable of reaching 300º without deformations. The polymerization during its molding allows it to melt or drip at high temperatures. This process also gives it a very good behavior against chemical agents, in usual concentrations. At service temperature they do not damage the surface of the product and produce only an insignificant loss of mechanical properties.

9.- RESISTANCE TO SALIN WATER, PERFECT FOR COASTAL ZONES

Polyester has a good chemical resistance against the most common agents (water, salt water, oil, gases such as ozone, in usual concentrations). These chemical agents, at normal temperatures, have never caused surface damage or significant mechanical loss. However, for the evaluation of their performance under very special conditions, SMC parts must be subjected to specific tests by third-party laboratories.

10.- LIGHTWEIGHT

A metal cabinet of the same size, in polyester, weighs half as much as a metal one. This feature facilitates its assembly, which can be done by one person and saves transportation costs. In addition, its lower weight reduces the injuries of installers.
